Kakehashi Myanmar is based in Yangon, Myanmar, and operates its business primary in the areas of human resource development, overseas employment placement, and Japanese language education. We began our journey in 2009 with Japanese and English language education and support services for students wishing to study in Japan.
Since our establishment, we have been committed to developing human resources through education, helping young people in Myanmar learn the Japanese language, understand Japanese culture and society, build connections with Japan, and expand their opportunities for the future. Over the years, we have expanded our business and provided consulting, interpretation and translation, car rental, and other services to Japanese companies and Japanese nationals doing business in Myanmar, supporting business activities and relationships between Japan and Myanmar.
In 2016, we obtained a licensed overseas employment agency license from the then Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population of Myanmar, and officially began our overseas employment placement business for Japan. Since then, we have focused on providing education and pre-departure support to help young people from Myanmar acquire skills and knowledge while working in Japan and grow as responsible working professionals.
What we value is not simply “sending human resources to Japan.” Our commitment is to provide young people with the Japanese language skills, basic professional skills, knowledge of Japanese culture, and an understanding of Japanese workplace values that they need to work in Japan. We support each individual in developing into a trusted and valued member of the Japanese workforce.
At the same time, we aim to nurture human resources who can bring the knowledge, skills, and experience they gain in Japan back to Myanmar and contribute to the development of Myanmar’s industries as well as the growth of Japanese-affiliated companies in Myanmar. This is what we mean by “Human Resource Development.”
